Congrats on getting your LND, Stu!

best of luck with the rest of the process. Hopefully once you find the right URL, everything will be much more straightforward.

still waiting here in Wales. 😑

Thanks.

It seems the web address in the letter points at a different page which gives the medical contact info. Just got to now work out how to get an interview appointment.

When the call was placed with the medical people, they said I will receive an email confirmation, which I have now received. The email states to bring

a.            ORIGINAL PASSPORT

We do NOT accept copies of ID (Only certified copies of ID will be accepted, ie if your passport is with the US Embassy. We will not be able to conduct the medical if copies are not OFFICIALLY certified. )

b.            4 X Identical Passport style photos - UK or US size

(we accept UK or US sized photographs)

c.            ACRO Police certificate (or a copy) dated within the last 12 months

d.            Vaccination records - Please provide a vaccination record for the panel to look over on the day to advise if any further vaccines are needed.

e.            Completed medical questionnaire which can be found at; https://uk.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/16/2017/05/USA-MEDICAL-QUESTIONNAIRE_IV.pdf

f.            A Letter/Email from the embassy/NVC to confirm your case number and visa category DS-260 FORM

g.            Summary of medical history from GP (NOT full medical records, short patient summary only – problems list – active, minor and past and medications list, current and past) and reports covering any medical conditions, disabilities, and prior serious illnesses you have been treated for or anything ongoing. This is a new requirement and may not yet be added to the checklist online or the US EMBASSY LONDON website.

Ask your GP for a Patient Summary/Care Summary.

h.            If you wear glasses or contact lenses please bring them along to the appointment

i.             If you have any significant/ongoing/previous medical conditions (i.e depression/diabetes/hypertension etc) please ensure that you bring a report from your GP/Specialist/Consultant regarding this; including, medication, prognosis, management etc. (this includes conditions such as depression, anxiety, diabetes, hypertension etc).

That is a LOT of stuff!

Sincerest best wishes to all still waiting......your pain is all too familiar

Well the day has finally arrived.

My letter came today. All I need now is to find the correct URL to "complete the steps on our website ...." "404 Page Not Found".

You couldnt make it up!!!

Hooray!!! 🥳🎉🎈

I’m so pleased it finally came through for you. It’s weird when something you’ve been waiting so long for actually happens. My stomach was still doing a   funny turn when I heard the post come in for a while after we got our LND because I was so used to be stressed out about what might or might not come.

I hope the rest of the process goes swiftly for you, despite whatever nonsense they may throw at you.

I am at a loss to understand why an enquiry regarding the location of where medicals for  visas take place could suggest a lack of preparedness.

I thought maybe you hadn’t researched the medical requirements if you thought it was Harley Street or there were recognised surgeries all over London. Just trying to be helpful with further info, but not a mind reader. Apologies if that was offensive. I won’t comment anymore.

It would be such a shame not to benefit from your expertise in this process. Thus, there surely is no need to withdraw from commenting?

I sincerely hope you do not withdraw.

🤚🏻 Still waiting lol

I ran across a DCF over in the UK forum today who has had a petition approval and LND number for 18 months, but hasn’t been able to get into the appointment system. 😳😳😳

That is carrying patience too far.

Is it possible, given the Embassy was closed for a while, that some i-130 applications were redirected to the US for processing then returned to Embassy for finalisation?

I hope all those still waiting receive their LND Number soon.

Good luck to all in the process.🙂

Medical done Overall a very smooth process. Felt a bit strange being on the other side of the examination process.

Word of advice: drink a bottle of water on the bus/train ride in, so that you’re ready to go when they ask for the urine sample! Also, if you arrive very early (like I did) Selfridge’s is close by so you can kill some time there.

Nice one. Good to hear it all went well.....great advice about the water lol. When I hear that sort of thing it always reminds me of the Bob Monkhouse gag......when he joined the army he got cocoa at bedtime and in the morning they expected him to PT..............

Good luck in the next stage.🙂
