Well, safely ensconced at my parents’ house in DE. I had to fly to Newark which was annoying but it was very straightforward. Not once was my temp checked or anything and thankfully I wasn’t staying in NJ because they still expect you to self isolate fit two weeks if you’ve been outside the state.

Congrats to those who have gotten their LNDs. Keep us updated on your progress. Commiserations to those still waiting. It has to be just around the corner for you guys 🤞🏼

Just noticed this on twitter: A Message From The US Embassy

it seems like a friendly request to “please stop sending emails.... we’re trying our best here!”

hopefully they’ve gotten the message finally!

congrats everyone who’s receiving their numbers! Awesome news!

I’m still waiting, but hopeful after seeing a good few have received theirs now. Fingers crossed!!

Hi,

My husband and I are planning to move to the US and started filing for my application (spousal visa). Today I received my letter for the LND number. I am quite confuse about the domicile part and obviously my affidavit of support as my husband has only have savings. Is the asset enough to support my application or do I need to have a joint sponsor ?

London is pretty relaxed about the domicile requirement. At other Embassies applicants are sometimes required to bring along evidence that shows that the petitioner is taking steps to re-establish ties with the US. Examples of such evidence include a valid driver's license, a voter card, evidence of an active bank account, US job constract or e-mails showing that the petitioner is looking for jobs etc.. It doesn't look like anyone interviewing at the London Embassy recently has been asked about this, however.

Not at all. We got approved on May 14th.

thanks all! :) I genuinely thought they forgot about us!

now the dreaded scramble for interviews! On another note, if anyone can offer some clarification- do we need to submit the DS form before looking for interviews? My husband is in England while I am in the States, so collaboratively working with each other’s schedules right now is proving to be tougher than we anticipated, so going through that form together might take some time.

We submitted our ds260 after booking our interview slot.

You’ll need all the addresses you’ve had since you were 16. I had literally about 20 addresses down since I was back and forth between a few countries for months at a time. So if you have a lot I would have that ready. And keep saving. It will time out and you’ll lose everything you haven’t saved.

Good luck!

Still nothing for me! Absolutely unbelievable that people in April, May and June have the received their numbers when I still haven’t from March. I am happy for you all of course but so angry at the embassy !

It is a most peculiar system which is in place.

Nothing can be done about it. Venting here can help.🙂

Enjoy your weekend everyone👍
