Hey guys, just keen to know delivery times for those of you that have had your interview and received your passport back in the mail.

I read a couple of people have had a Monday interview and had their passport by the Friday, is that anyone’s experience on here?

My appointment is on Monday, and my wife has to leave the UK on the 31st of August - I’m really hoping I get my passport on Friday (do they also deliver on Saturdays?) so that we can fly together on the Monday.

I don’t think there are many active in this thread that have got to that point yet. Might be worth asking in the U.K. regional sub forum.

You’re cutting it fine, you might get it back, but might not. To save yourselves the stress if I were you I’d plan for the worst case and hope for the best. I mean worst case you go over a couple of weeks after her and you’re not apart for long.

is she on a spousal visa? I think you get 30 days after it expires to leave the U.K.

Another day goes by with still no reply to my email after I gave them all the information they asked and nothing in the post, so the wait continues (approved March 16th).

I'm in the process of trying to book an appointment for my son to get his US passport. I wont surprise me if I get that before I hear anything so will be demanding to speak to someone whilst I'm at the embassy.

Also waiting for our LDN number. Husband sent another request with the information and they came back asking the same information! We were approved back in May!

it seems as if they are working backwards almost.

Approved in May!

What is going on!?

The frustrating aspect is A) they have no system, so we cannot even estimate a date and plan according and B) when you do reach out to them, they disregard/ignore the actual contents of the email, without giving a proper response.

it cant be that hard to check the status on files by entering the beneficiary’s name! All systems work in this manner, shocking that the embassy doesn’t. Such inefficient processes.

sorry for the friday rant. I genuinely thought it was going to be a 3-4 month process, which fine, was impacted by COVID, but everything else has resumed, so why has this not?!

Do you actually have a file in the system? I mean if your cases arrived from London USCIS office but have not been given a case number and entered into the system, then is there anything to look up?  Can you log on to CEAC and see your status?

In this modern world it would be very surprising if an electronic record was not transferred from USCIS to Visa Unit. But who knows.......

I don’t know so was speculating. Are you given a petition case number and assigned an A-number by USCIS London like the regular spouse petitions in the US are given?

Neither my I-130 approval letter nor the letter containing my LND number contained an A-number so I guess this doesn't apply for DCF filers.

In an effort to keep myself sane and focused, what documents are required for Medical and Interview? Is there an up to date list? The attachment to this post is a screenshot from Embassy website. I dont see any mention of Form DS260? Where does this form fit in to the process?

Having a stressful day as our house sale is dragging its feet.

Thanks for any info🙂
