There's less than zero excuse for an unused warehouseful of supplies.

 

I talked to someone in P.R. who said that her neighborhood was without electricity for 6 weeks consequent to Hurricane Maria.  I remember what the 6 days was like for me after Hurricane Ike, and I can't imagine what the Puerto Riceños had to bear in a tropical environment for so much longer...

Its funny because every time you see the left whining endlessly about PR and its never about this, which is overwhelmingly the biggest problem with natural disasters. PR is run by useless corrupt morons, which is not a matter that gets solved by throwing more money at it and blaming the President.

That's no excuse.  If Trump REALLY cared, he'd have had planes in the air as the hurricane approached.

  I have a friend in PR who I still haven't heard from. I heard from him a couple of months later to say he is OK, but that the infrastructure makes it impossible to do even the most basic things.  About a year after, someone posted that they could get online about once a month reliably if all the stars lined up.
