Okay.  This is, in fact, with the Consular Section, not USCIS.  They must have approval from USCIS to accept your petition.  They probably have no idea your wife is in Italy at this point -- unless yo

You'd need to live in the country with the beneficiary to take advantage of DCF.  You need to just submit to the lockbox in Chicago.

I understand that, but the Embassy gas a lot of offices.  With whom (what office)  do you have an appointment?  Where have you been told to go when you get to the Embassy?

These are really fast DCFs! Sounds like Rome had a strong USCIS field office. My Frankfurt DCF took 47 days to approve. Still grateful for the fact it was 300 days faster than most.

I set my interview for April 14th at 8 am and I can not tell you much about it honestly, sorry!

I am now collecting all the additional documentation and everything should be ready in the next weeks.
