Dear VJ pals,

I was wondering what is the current processing time till you receive the actual green card in mail after the entry to US?

It has been 3 months already in my case and still no sign of green card...🙄

Normal processing is 120 days.. of you call USCIS now they’ll just tell you to wait. You could call and check that the address they have on file is correct .. but it’s unlikely to do anything  🙁

I can understand the eagerness to receive your card, but your CR/IR1 visa is fully usable as a LPR card.

Like the others said, cards can take up to 120 days.

if you don’t get it by next month, contact USCIS.

I received my card yesterday. My POE was 08/31/2019 😳

Paid the fees before I moved.

Oh, and it came in my maiden name instead of my married name, even though my married name was used in the application... 🙄

We've been waiting on my husband's green card to come in the mail for three months. He got his social security card after about 10 days of being in the US. If they send his green card to the old address that we had on file, it would be my parents' house. I am probably going to have my senator's office do an inquiry soon.

I also applied when i filled my petition but if u go to SS office directly, u can fill form and re-apply its not a long process. The benefit is u will get ur card then in less than a week. otherwise no idea how long u need to wait. I preffered not waiting..

I was also waiting for SS card to come by mail and someone told me to go to office n apply for faster response. Thatsy i am advising the same

best of luck :)

I'm glad I actually went there. They said that they didn't see anything in their system (maybe the embassy didnt send them my info?). So I applied and they said I should get it in 2 weeks max.
