I wish the illegals had a medical exam and background check. Without them 100% have the potential to be HIV infected mass murderers.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

why, cuz all of them are rapists or drug dealers? maybe the % of illegals who are rapists and drugdealers are the ones we need to be afraid of..

As little as your average Joe knows about immigration matters...

You don't need to know all about the USCIS to have a valid opinion on this. All you need is a sense of what's right and what's wrong.

If someone has been here for a long time, lives here, is raising a family here, works here, participates in our communities, isn't a criminal ... then kicking them out, or even saying we want to kick them out, is wrong.

The question asked does not relate to the dreaded CIR bill, so asking a hypothetical is hardly relevant.

On immigrate2us, now it seems defunct, there was a post where somebody had asked 10 of her friends whether they would apply.

All said no, they did not want to pay taxes or fines.

Even if a bill on the basis of this question passed, there would be millions who would not qualify, entered after the cut off date, criminal history, do not want to pay taxes/fines etc, can not speak and do not want to learn English.

What happens to them, all the pundits say that millions can not be deported.

I strongly disagree. You are justifying the end game, based upon unlawful activity. Just because they are doing the right things now, does not give an illegal alien any credibility whatsoever. They are not entitled to be in this country. Period. What is so difficult about this concept?

That's pretty inhumane - there's got to be some leeway IMO.

What does a person do when they're forced to leave their home and family and go back to a country they've not lived in for 10,15,20 years? What exactly would such a person do?

You can't deport those people, its not an option. Not unless we start suspending the due process on immigration hearings and prevent the right for people to appeal their cases. Lot of people, lot of court rulings, lot of tax $$$ to pay for it.

Border security and enforcement of employment laws and should be the primary focus of the debate - not worrying about beating harmless old ladies out of the country with a big stick.

Certainly not when it condemns people to destitution.
