It goes without mentioning (or should) that the correct -- and, indeed, the only -- pronunciation of the word is "dishwarsher."

Do I belong to the only household in that has a working (automatic) dishwasher?

Dishwashers  use 1/5 of the water and deliver superior sanitation.

The Bosch 500/800 series is a stellar appliance starting at $750 (and quiet).

As far as the current president weighing in on household chores and energy efficiency, give me a break. You can bet that the man hasn't washed a dish in his adult life and has zero credibility in this area.  He really should focus on a cure for windmill caused cancer.

No . You belong to the only one. who is not headed by a female tiger wife who does not allow its use.

If I had my way , dishes would be rinsed of solids, out in dishwasher until ckise to full.

Until i married Cruella, I did not have but 2 real plates. I had a big thermo mug. Guest got the Hans Solo and everything was paper plates

My dishwasher, usually only makes a lot of noise if she is mad

My dishwasher used to do so in heels.  Not as much anymore.  I need a refund.

But fer reals... for about the past 20 years or more, we have used our dishwasher as storage for cast iron skillets and such.  Hand wash everything faster and better than any dishwasher ever could.

We mostly do that too. My wife can't sleep at night if there's a dirty dish in the house, and I make big deal about running the dishwasher if it's not half full. If it was me. I would just leave the dirty ones in the dishwasher till morning, but I know that's never going to happen.

OCD, eh?

It's fun to be laying in bed, having just turned the lights out and settled in, and innocently asking, "Honey, did you put away that last glass I washed?" knowing full well I put it away myself.  The longest she has ever laid in bed was about 1.5 minutes.

1/5 of the water, which is returned to the land, so no gain.  And 1000 times the electricity, which cannot be reclaimed.  Seems you don’t much care for the environment in which you live.  Your wife is probably crying in the closet every time you run the energy-consuming appliance.  Bernie Sanders does NOT approve of your message!

When we were leaving for our honeymoon in Hawaii, I commented about how much dust would be on the window sill by the time we got back. As I was getting ready to drive, my wife hopped out of the car, ran back in the house, and spent about 15 minutes wiping everything down. We were not at any risk of missing the flight, but we got there a little late for my liking. I realized at a certain point, you can't really have fun with OCD any more.

Feel bad, and funny.. but I see the moral and logical reasons behind your choice. I personally would still have some fun with it, wife and I both poke fun at each other here and there about our shortcomings, it's good to laugh about things, even those things we find greatly controversial or offensive. We (wife and I) also have sufficient emotional and social intelligence to know that there are bad times for this. Sometimes you blunder into these circumstances, but that's what thick skin and forgiveness is for.

Or simply hand wash, and little or zero detergent is needed.  2 H's and one O work amazingly well when combined properly.
