It is odd how there are such huge differences in processing times between cases.

I too was at California, a April 2019 filer, and was approved just a few days short of a year (7 days before the 1 year filing anniversary, and 4 days before my N-400 eligible date).

This, while people who filed in freakin December 2018, January 2019 etc are still waiting. It makes zero sense, and I can see how it's irritating people. I think I would have filed the N-400 if I was in that situation and eligible to do so. Then at least I'd be in line for that very last process of the immigration journey.

But I can also see why you'd want to have the ROC done and dusted before starting a completely new process. And not everyone is eligible or wants to file for citizenship either.

We filed late February 2019. My husband is eligible for citizenship but so far we have held off on applying thinking that the ROC approval would come soon and not wanting to cause any delays as it does look like in some cases filing for citizenship just further delays the ROC. (Our local office has quite a long wait for citizenship, too).

Good Morning CALIFORNIANS!!!

What a way to start the weekend!!! I received a text from USCIS notifying my ROC update at 8:45am PST today, Sat; June 13 2020). When I logged in to my USCIS profile the status now read as follow:

Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken

As of June 13, 2020, fingerprints relating to your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC2090XXXXXX, have been applied to your case. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I know it's not a definitive decision BUT I'm glad to receive an update and that it seems it'll move smoothly forward? Please, dear God.

QUESTION: What does the, "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" really mean?

I hope my fellow WAC filers soon to receive an update. Good luck to everyone!!! (and also Champagne!! Champagne for everyone!!🥳)

Have a great weekend. Stay safe and healthy.

Best,

J/G

I got my case received on 05/07/2018 lol

waiting at this point over 2 years

after fingerprints in July 2019 nothing, complete radio silence

filed complaint through lawyer got generic response

contacted congressman for my district so far no news from them

Seeing people who applied in February or March 2019 and getting approved, one year after makes me wanna call and curse them out and give up, how is that fair?

Any updates? Did you apply for N400?

Did you try opening an SR or going for an InfoPass? 2 years is definitely outside of normal processing times

Applying for Naturalization at this point also makes a lot of sense

Btw, you don't have a timeline either. It would be very helpful if you added one 🙂

I haven’t. CSC processing time shows 27.5 months now, don’t know should we wait 1.5 more months or file service request now. I got a stamp 551 last year in November, expiring this November. They told us We are going to have an interview in our local office (Salt Lake City) but the problem was and I guess still is, that they don’t have any officers available to interview us. Since then we are patiently waiting.
