Did you need your spouse for the i751 adjudication during your n400 interview?

Yes. I remember the Immigration Officer looking for mine.

However, my spouse never got to join any of my interviews because every time I was scheduled, he’d be overseas for deployment.

Hello All,

Yesterday I attended my N400 interview (filed online Sept 2020) at the Federal Building in DTLA (while my i751 was still pending; filed Sept 2019; WAC case number). Turns out it was a combo interview. Long story short, after approx. 2 hours total my case was approved. I'm scheduled for an oath ceremony next week. Good luck for all WAC case numbers.

Best,

J/G

Just noticed that the processing time for California Service Center for i751 is now 5.5 - 9.5 months.  Not sure if that's just a fluke, but it's certainly better than the estimate of 7-21.5 months listed in September!  Radio silence for me since early June 2021 when we filed, hoping to get a biometric waiver soon.

Appears to have been a fluke:  estimate is back to 7-22 months as of today for CSC.  Although it appears USCIS has changed how it calculates its processing time estimate since this is posted on its processing time webpage:  "ALERT: Starting Nov. 1, 2021, processing times will be based on 6 months of data instead of one month. You can read more about processing times on our Case Processing Times page."

A few days ago it was 7-9.5 months. Really thought they were speeding up things. 🥺

And some people are lucky: someone around the forum -WAC case- got the GC 5 months after filing.

Thank you for sharing.  It is disappointing news but it hopefully will improve.

I think there are certainly a lot of motivating reasons for those who want to become citizens to do it while I-751 ROC is in progress. I know my wife is planning on doing it as well.

Wish everyone the best.

My wife got the notification from USCIS that her I-751 was rec'd on12/16/21.  We then received the green card extension and I-757 NOA letter on 12/23/2021 (all good).  We are now waiting for the next stage, but she wants to visit her home in Philippines next month.  If we go, we are afraid of missing a possible biometrics or interview appointment.  Does anyone have a clue as to a timeline for getting a notice from USCIS setting an appointment for biometrics/interview?  Estimated wait time for the ROC to complete is 7 to 22 months out.

The date for biometrics is usually ~2 weeks out from the notice date on the letter. So not as much notice as the actual interview which id usually 4-6 weeks out.

You CAN reschedule the biometrics but often there are issues when doing this, USCIS employees don't seems to communicate very well within USCIS - meaning when you request to reschedule your appintment to one part of USCIS, another part of USCIS never received this info and thinks you're a no-show. It's ridiculous and more common than you think.

If you receive the biometrics letter before you travel, you can always try for an "early walk-in", just go whenever you have the time before the actual date. I have done this twice without issues. Not a guarantee for everyone and not all offices are happy about it, but definitely worth a try.
