My brother who is Nepali Citizen and also has student visa of canada got his immigrant visa as derivative beneficiary of F4 case. We kept "accompany me" while filing out DS260. Can he go to canada for completing his studies as he has his last semester remaining and then enter to United States directly from canada? Can a principal applicant travel before and derivatives on a later date while having accompany me for derivative beneficiary?

Not nearly enough information. How much time does he need to complete his studies? Is it before or after his immigrant visa expires?

We got our visa approved on 13th Jan. Passport is yet to arrive. He almost need 4 months to complete his studies and thinking of travelling from canada to US directly. Is that possible?? or he needs to enter US first and get his greencard and then go canada to complete his studies?

If his studies finish before his expiry date, no problem doing it that way. He does not need to enter with the principal, but he must enter before his visa expires. Doing it straight from Canada is fine.
(If for some reason his expiry is before his studies ends then he will need to at least enter the US on that visa before expiry, then finish his studies.)

Thankyou so much. I was thinking that he needs to have permission from US gov to reside in other country for his studies. Thanks for making it clear :)

If it’s just a few months, no problem. (If it was longer than a year he would need a re-entry permit, which is not so much “permission” to reside elsewhere in the interim as protection against being deemed to have abandoned his green card. That was why I asked how long it would take him to finish.)
