Clarification about the I-29F and I-134

From what I read here on the process of the K-1 visa it appears to my understanding that the I-29F packet is sent first and then the I-134 is provided later in the process? How does the I-134 fit in to the K-1 process if it's not sent in with with the I-29F? This is quite confusing to me as in my other research it seemed to imply that it was all submitted at the same time?

 

Eventually I would be using a co-sponsor and from what I have found I would be submitting an I-134 and my co-sponsor would be submitting one as well. 

 

Any and all advice on this matter is greatly appreciated! I just want to make sure I have an understanding of the necessary to components to make this a success!

I-129F is the petition sent to USCIS. USCIS adjudicates the petition.

If/Once approved, they send it to NVC to get a case number.

NVC sends the packet to the consulate. The beneficiary completes a DS-160, does a medical, gathers documents, then interviews. The exact steps and order + process vary from consulate to consulate.

 

The I-134 packet is presented at the visa interview.

If provided with the I-129F, the information on the I-134 - plus supporting evidences - would very likely be outdated by the time the consulate gets it anyway.

 

An I-134 from each sponsor should be provided.

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

K-1:

12/1/16: sent, 12/14/16: NOA1 hard copy received, 3/10/17: RFE (IMB verification), 3/22/17: RFE response received

3/24/17: Approved! , 3/30/17: NOA2 hard copy received

 

NVC

4/6/2017: Received, 4/12/2017: Sent to Riyadh embassy, 4/16/2017: Case received at Riyadh embassy, 4/21/2017: Request case transfer to Manila, approved 4/24/2017

 

K-1

5/1/2017: Case received by Manila (1 week embassy transfer??? Lucky~)

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE

Thank you, @geowrian! I read through the FAQ and found this information after I posted this question and I appreciate how you succinctly summarised the process, I truly appreciate it.
