It could mean that for some reason your case needs more processing than others. Could be some clerical thing that needs further clarification. Processed in the order it was received does not mean they will necassarily finish processing it in order! It happened to us and I was as steamed as you are. With all the waiting you do the last thing you want is to see people behind you jump ahead!

In our case there was a spelling error on our original application that did not match the DS-230 my (wife) sent in. This caused 6 weeks delay before the interview and 4 weeks delay after. From what I could see the delay was not even on the HCMC side, but on the NVC side taking it's sweet time with the information request.

Hang in there. It will come. 2 years from now this will all seem trivial to you.

My wife turned in packet 3 3/29/07, which is two days before your and she has not receive the interview date yet. I emailed the consulate, a week after they responded saying that they have packet 3, and the interview date should be mailed out by the end of June. Delegg might be right about the delay, because my wife had the agency filled out the form before I had a chance to know what's on it and they either not put down my full name or had my birthday wrong. One of the two, they are not sure and my wife is not sure...hmmm....wait a minute....#######...now you know how I feel. I think this is why the case get delay. Because of the new fee, more people are trying to beat the deadline and of course our government is thinking ahead...hahaha...so Mr. Thai, try not to worry too much will ya...and good luck to you....

Dude, you got to chill out........ From my past experience, I did turn in my package 3 5 or 6 days ahead of Andrew va Thuy, but he got his interview couple days ahead of me. At that time i was wondering why too but I looked at my case, I filed the application behind Andrew va THuy for about a month. So, they go by the order the dated that you filed your case not by who submitted the Package 3 before the others.

For now you have to chill out and wait........ Patient is the Key man. Make sure you gather enough evidence and be prepare for the Interview.

Also, take your time and clean up all your mess in the state and get thing ready for her when she get here ;) If you know what i meant. Make sure look into the AOS stuff, that is your next step....... Fee will be increase after July 30. It will jump from $395 to $1010 for the Green Card Process.

what's wrong with you Thai Pham? Nothing wrong with HCMC!!!!! Waiting is the name of the game! BTW, your tax dollar does pay for this service, but this is a privilege to have the ability to sponsor your fiancé here to the US to marry you, it is NOT your rights. So get back in line and stop speaking and acting like a FOB. Dooo dzu under-xi-tand meee?

Um, yes they are. As a former CO, you should know that. Your former salary, your overseas housing, COLA, overseas shipments and all other ancillary costs are directly drawn from the Departments budget.

All derived from tax dollars. The fee's paid for Consular services don't even come close to offsetting the overall process, let alone Embassy electricity bills.

Consular salaries are paid entirely out of visa fees, not tax dollars. That is a fact.

It is all part of the Diplomatic mission overseas. As you know, Consular services are a small element of the overall mission. The fees do not offset the cost of the services. Me thinks you don't know what you are talking about.
