Hey all, I had my medical today and was way less scary than I anticipated (of course!) anyway, I had a couple things they needed more info from the GP about as my GP included a complete medical history but not specifics they were looking to- anyway I'm obviously going to get these asap and email them as they've suggested. I should be able to get these by tomorrow. I understand they can't send the medical results until they receive this. It also says on the letter it takes them 3-4 days to get the results back from the blood test etc and then 5 working days to send to embassy.

I am needing to reschedule my interview from 31st, I assume Jan 23rd would not give enough time for the embassy to get the results? From what the letter suggests that seems to be the case, however I read they now send it electronically so not sure why it would take the full 5 days. Does anyone know anymore about this? Any help would be appreciate. If I have to wait, I have to wait but just wanted to know if it would be possible to have any sooner, thanks

If your medical results aren’t there, you can still interview. You just won’t hear the happy words “you’re approved” that day. They may say “tentatively approved” or “this all looks good” but they have to wait for the results to arrive before the final approval and issuing the visa. I would go as scheduled and not change the date.

Agreed, I wouldn't reschedule as you could be adding weeks onto it. When I booked mine, it was take the interview 6 days after medical or wait 3 weeks for the next appointment. I was in a rush to get over as my husband was having an operation but if you have the flexibility to wait, then you could. It does feel good to walk away from the embassy knowing you are approved though!

What medical history did you asked from the GP?
