where are EAD's processed?

this has come up before & I apologize if it has been answered, but..........................if a case is transfered to CA, does the EAD stay at MSC?

I am aksing because our case was transferred, but the EAD wasn't mentioned at all.

I would assume that the EAD would NOT go with the AOS case-is that correct?

EAD gets processed by MSC the national benefits center.

And no EAD, AP and AOS are processed separately as separate cases.

thanks for the response...I thought they were processed at MSC, but I read a few posts that made it seem like some are sent with AOS(if a case is transferred).

And thanks for asking this, because I'd been wondering whether or not a transfer to CSC means they deal with the whole lot - so I'm glad I now know that's a 'no'!

I applied for EAD with AOS but when my case was transferred to CA the AOS was processed so quickly there was no need for the EAD. I paid the $180.00 for the EAD and never needed it. Hopefully this will happen with you too!

That outcome was great for you but im thinking that is not the rule. Its a gamble in my opinion to not file for EAD if you are anxious to work.

When applying for AOS, EAD it all goes to the same place to start with, right? Is that still Chicago?

My husband filed his EAD (not AOS, just EAD) on May 29. The case was transfered to California yesterday. Has anyone had any experience with EAD on its own transferring? We have delayed filing for AOS until next month.

My EAD was transfered to CSC as well, i had only filed for EAD at the time, i have now filed for both EAD and AOS maybe i should have filed both at same time because i have to go for 2 biometrics appts one week after the other. See signature below!!
