Proof of Residency for K1 AOS

Hey everyone,

We are gathering all of our documents so we can send out the AOS for my wife but we had a question. Many people are saying that we need to send at least 2 proof of residency (her name on bills with current address) but after looking up and down the required document evidence list, we do not see that as a requirement. I just added her to my utility bill just to be safe but it will reflect on next months statement so not sure if we should wait for that, depending if needed or not.

Thank you!

No need to prove residence when filing.

It's advised though to have bills and other stuff with both names for the interview.

No evidence needed for the i-485. You can bring some to the interview later on, that gives you some time to add your wife to ban accounts etc.

You need 2 proofs a residency to get a RealID compliant state ID or driver's license (which you will probably want in the long run, but is not directly immigration related), but you don't need that for filing the AOS forms.
