Hey guys i have a question, does anybody you know this whole insurance thing going on? now the applicant needs to have insurance to come in to USA and present it at the interview? Is that true? And if it is how can you obtain it?

you are spouse so (more than likely) you will be able to add spouse to your health care / the issue with health care is for K1 (and others) who would have to pay for the immigrants coverage as they can not be added to a policy like parents or siblings

the USC has to show he/she can afford to buy private health care insurance

There’s no way I can add my husband in my insurance here since he still not approved for a visa nor have a ssn , i tried and they told me because he’s not even yet a resident of usa

Not at this point but the embassy know this is a CR1 and you will be able to add him when he arrives

a K1 applicant can not/ they have to be prove they can afford the health care

It's not required by LAW.

They can keep asking and feeding incorrect information, but that does not change the law.

After I married my husband in Brazil, I returned and sent HR my marriage certificate and asked them to add him to my health insurance.  All they needed was his legal name and date of birth.  Maybe try your HR dept.  SSN or residency in the US is not a requirement for health insurance, at least it wasn't in our case, United Healthcare.  We sent proof of our joint health insurance with our I-130 packet as supporting evidence of our bona fide marriage.  Keep trying, and good luck!

The healthcare requirement proclamation is not currently in effect by court order.

http://travel.state.gov/healthcare

Even if it were in effect, actually obtaining insurance prior to entry was not required. Just showing that it can be obtained (i.e. available + can be afforded) within 30 days of entry is fine.

K-1 was not subject to the proclamation. It applied to certain immigrant visas only.
