Congrats on getting DQ, but unfortunately you have now hit a major road block that many of us have been dealing with for months.  VERY few of the embassies are doing interviews and have not done interviews since late Feb or so due to COVID-19.  NVC has been cranking out DQs like crazy, which means there are going to be huge lines of people waiting for interviews when the embassies do open up again for immigrant VISA interviews.

Don't mean to rain on your parade, but this is the reality right now.

Some updates this week, on Monday 09/21/2020, we received an email from NVC saying "immigration appointment cancelled”, then on 09/25/2020 Friday, we received an email saying “case expedited”. I did not actually request an expedite. Consulate location is Frankfurt Germany.

I guess our case is transferring to Frankfurt Germany. My NVC account is showing YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: "In transit", it was "NVC".

Wow finally!! Congratulations bro. You are done with the hard part. Now NVC is easy. That entire process you can complete in 2 weeks.

BTW what was your RFE and why did it take you 2 months to send it? Just curious if you don’t mind.

Good luck bro!

Hey, my RFE was in need of a different marriage certificate for US (Copie d’integrale) or long form from France. The marriage certificate they gave me originally was an extract (which is a legal

doc) but US needs the first one.
-RFE took 2 months to send because I had to get my husband to request the document requested during Covid and everything was shut down especially in France. I finally got it June 1 and had to get it certified translated to English. So that’s why.

But thanks, I’m excited for the NVC process.

Oh yeah this COVID is delaying a lot of processes now. And lot of backlogs on embassies too. Anyways you completed the hard step in the process. Happy for you. Good luck with everything and keep us updated on any news!!

Hi all,

Sorry I haven't been on to update in a while, been super busy with work and family and a few issues getting the right documents - which inevitably delayed us getting around to uploading documents to NVC. Our case was documentary qualified (DQ) on Sept 19, around 10 days after uploading them. We have been lucky so far and not having one RFE

We're now just waiting for an interview date from the U.S embassy in London, not sure how long that will take but I imagine it won't be too long.

How is everybody else doing, what stages are you all at?

Hi Tony,

Mine got Documentarily Qualified on May 18th and still waiting for an interview letter. I prepared all my documents very early and so I uploaded everything pretty quick. US embassy in India had been closed since March, but they reopened in September. They are currently rescheduling cancelled interviews and they are in Jan DQs. I hope they move quicker.

Hello Friends

we had the interview this morning and got the green slip ( visa approved),  and told us within 3 days to a week to pick up the passport from aramex,

interview lasted only minutes and the consulate only asked ( what’s his name , what type of work? Where will you be residing? How many times did he visited you? That’s all

best of luck for everyone 😍😍😍

Yes it was.

we sure supported each other for a while tho and thank you 🙏.

best of luck on yours sooner.  Any news yet

just remember submit everything at the nvc website before she goes for her interview.  They will see everything prior to see her, just makes the process much smoother.

since my wife is from a high fraud area, I over submitted a huge heavy folder that she took with her, and the consulate told her wow that looks heavy and well organized. Every time she tells her can I show you the prove she told her I have everything that you have on my system.
