I was analyzing Igor processing list of I-130 cases at VSC.

I am observing a pattren in all transfered cases from Nebraska to Vermont though they are handful.

7 cases were transferred from Nebraska to Vermont in 2020 as per Igor list. Check out attached image.

Boom! VSC approved within 1 month

That’s crazy that’s there because I was part of the first transfers Jan 22,2020 From Nebraska to Vermont and my PD 2/15/2019 and I have not received anything yet still waiting. I know some March and June have been approved and some Feb approved but there’s still others still waiting.

We sure we were the first batch of the transfers then they added more and more batches and that’s why the online estimate has changed to 15 to 20 months at Vermont.

we have till Friday to see any great news then the weekends again.

That is so true. I’m hoping in 1-2 weeks will finally receive our answer. I’m aiming for next Friday as we saw cases near our numbers finally get some answers as of March 6 from the same transfer batch in Jan.

Just curious. What was time estimate before the transfers?

I have no clue. On the USCIS website for Nebraska before I was transferred they were working on Oct 2018 when I was transferred in Jan 2020. So I’m unsure because there are those who have been approved who were transferred even in February 2020. So I feel there is not set schedule in regards who turned their application in first or what not.

Here is an update after I spoke to USCIS and inquired about my case.

Q: I received noa1 in Nov from TSC. Is Texas my service center?

A: It was but your case was transferred on 23 Feb to VSC.

Q: Why haven’t I received any notification on case transfer? My case status is still same since day1.

A: I have no idea but I see a transfer in my system.

Q: Why it was transferred ?

A: It was transferred to VSC in a bid to streamline processing.

Q: Will I be following VSC processing time or TSC processing time from my PD?

A: VSC

Q: Isn’t this transfer increased my processing time by double? Because VSC is 20months as compared to TSC 10months?

A: Both of the centers have received a lot of transfer cases and soon they will be updating their processing times.

Q: As per your answer I don’t see how these transfer in a bid to streamline processing especially if one transferred from fastest processing center to a slowest processing center.

A: I wish that I had an answer for you.

Q: Is there anything I can do or request to remain on TSC processing time?

A: Not at the moment. But we are streamlining our processes in order to improve efficiency.
