Hi guys I the petitioner and my husband are currently residing in Canada patiently waiting! But we will be requiring a sponsor for my husband as I have no assets  and have not been working for the last year! So my question is we have a friend who is American who is willing to be the secondary sponsor but he’s currently on a year Working Holiday Visa in Australia although he can certainly provide the necessary documents and income requirements for the last 3 years in the United States as he just recently went to Australia.

Thanks in advance

Nope, has to be based on the US. Why don’t you return earlier, get a job and qualify on that?

The Aus “Work/Holiday” Visa is a temp visa, not immigration, it’s basically a holiday visa designed for backpackers and fruit pickers, nil options for AOS or permanent residency..

the co-sponsor still officially resides within the USA since they are classified as non permanent residents here are they not?

I know my step daughter came here last year on the same visa, couldn’t get driver licence, 18+ ID or anything stating her residency here, I even had to co sign a bank account for her so her wages could be deposited..
