Point taken but at the same time those things can and do describe (some women) and we all know them..doesnt make it true for all women just as there are certain traits down thru time that (describe) men (in general) but again not every man is going to be strong and bold, not every man is going to be rugged sportsminded etc

You dont see that you yourself have argued over nothing, been on a talking spree, refused to apologize,gained weight etc i can see times i have been there (not because of drinking since i dont drink)

I also know i have been a manager over men myself in a fabrication plant this included welders, painters etc brass and bold( mens men) and dont think for a minute i couldnt handle it as i did raising 4 kids basically alone so i do know....again its a joke(as such) passed thru the computer......

Well the joke implies it contains female hormones, and I truly do not know any woman that isn't bitchy/whiney during hormonal changes........so yeah anyway I thought it was a cute joke aimed more at men than women. Since men tend to be the first to notice the changes in their women and probably the first to complain about their pmsing wife on the golf course while getting drunk....well nothing more to say but that the men (beer drinkers to the point of drunkeness) are at the blunt of this joke.

Despite women being the root cause of evil in the world they have managed to rise to positions

of power and prominence in Western society due to incessant whining and nagging and the guys

in charge before being busy playing World of Warcraft.

I dont see the big deal about these jokes, not everyone has to like it, I agree to that, but if you dont like it just dont read. I've heard worst stuff than that.

But, I just dont see the point about including WoW in there.....of course cause I played that game myself, for different reasons, but I take a personnal offense to the description linked to it. Part of it is true, but not all of it. I dont consider myself as a "Rich spoilt ** 20-40 year old with no life" and about all these teenagers playing that game, the problem is the parents paying for it. If you're not mature enough to work and play for that game yourself, you're not mature enough to see the difference between playing for fun and being addicted.

That game has changed my life because I met my wonderful husband in it and we played for a while because we were apart and it was the only activity we could do together from a far distance. Now we are together and we are back in a normal life and this is way behind us.

Not you at all. You've done nothing out of the ordinary here and it amazes me that for some reason this particular thread has generated so much outrage. It's not the first time I've seen sexist jokes posted on VJ- and these are some of the lightest jokes I've seen in that catagory, but this is certainly the most outrage I've seen.

Simple stereotypes that everyone has heard- that's what makes it a joke. Everybody knows it's a joke. Everybody knows you don't actually think women are equal to drunk men. The reaction is suprising.
