Hi guys I'M A K1 visa applicant, I have lived in the same city (Monterrey) in the same state (Nuevo León) since 16, is it ok if..... to the interview I bring the state police record? Carta de Antecedentes No Penales of the state (fiscalia general del estado), or do I really have to fly all over  to  Ciudad de México for the Carta de Antecedentes no Penales federal?

HELP!

I have read that you can get The carta de no antecedentes penales in Ciudad Juárez and it’s valid

  • 4 weeks later...

We obtained my wife's police report in Mexico City, where we both live. We are concerned though that it might not be accepted because it doesn't match the reciprocity schedule form the US website.

Particularly, it doesn't list the issuing authority anywhere on the document, not does the document have a title like described in the reciprocity schedule.

We have a lawyer working with us who confirmed the address on the document as well as the language used matches what is normally found on this type of document - but is concerned about the 2 above points.

Has anyone received this from Mexico City who can confirm?

If it matters, the address listed on the reciprocity schedule is now closed if you go there - we obtained the police clearance record from a different address that we were directed to after going to the one listed in the reciprocity schedule which is now closed.
