I don't think there is any benefit in knowing which center is processing your application really.

I agree. I was just curious from what all are saying.

I noticed recently several of these passport agencies center have been snapped back to "Phase 1" recently. For example, Miami was on Phase 2 for a long time and since November 23, it snapped back to Phase 1 unfortunately!

I think the ones that we see here that are being processed fast are probably processed by Phase 3 or even 2 centers.

You can call the # 1-877-487-2778 (passport status check) and ask them. I got information from them.

I did and learned that my passport is being processed at Tucson, AZ.

Curious. Why are people applying with expedite? There are still travel restrictions to many countries. So wondering if there is any added benefit that i am missing.

Because people have holiday travel plans, have family overseas that they haven't seen in a while, could have terminally ill relatives that they need to go see before it is too late.  Some people want to have the passport available in case of family emergencies.  Yes, many countries have restrictions but it does not mean you can't travel there.

Same here. It's been about 4 weeks for me filing Expedited.

If you can show proof they didn't expedite it you can claim a refund on the cost of expedition i.e. $60.
