I applied today for my first expedited US Passport. I applied at “UA Passport” located in the University of Arizona. It was quick and easy.

Can’t wait to have US Passport in my hands lol.

Now I have to wait to update my SSN and driver’s license once I get my US passport.
One step at a time.

We never received an email from the passport agency that the passport was shipped.  Even though we signed up to get a US Passport Status email notice.  Was checking it a few times a day to look for a status change.

I want to share my experience, and this is for those of you that have already submitted you application for standard processing and want to expedite you process, if its been 6 weeks already PLEASE do not pay for expedited process, that's a waste of money, my process is 6 weeks today, I paid Tuesday to have it expedited, and from that date it can take up to 20 business days(4 more weeks) for it to be issued, which is basically 10 weeks which the standard processing is 10 to 12 weeks, just a piece of advice of my wrong doing and bad experience with DOS, don't make the same mistake I did and waste save your money instead.

My experience is different.

9/28/2020  Applied for passport (expedite not available the morning we submitted)

10/01/2020  Passport in process

11/05/2020  Paid for an Expedite (due to upcoming trip)

11/10/2020  Passport Shipped

11/12/2020  Passport arrived

So it took 8 days from day of expedite to day of passport arrival.

AND WE WERE TOLD 20 BUSINESS DAYS TOO.

Thank you for sharing your experience, glad it turned out good for you in a short period of time, I hope mine turns out to be a good experience as well, it brings me some ease knowing that you did not have to wait too long, once again thank you!

And keep checking your status on line.  I finally got an email today that the passport was shipped.  That's 3 days after I found out by going online.
