Got my passport today! 4 weeks from when I applied

My application goes to "In Process" today, called the number and the representative told me it's being processing in New York agency. Does different agencies have different processing speed? Or do they all have a relatively similar timeline?

i got status update today "Shipped" Applied on July 2nd, NO passport agency. 

 

11 weeks and 1 day.

Sigh. Such a long burocratic process from beginning of immigration to  until we have the documents that give us access to travel & reside in both India & usa. Well atleast we are almost at the end of this long journey. Dual citizenship would have been easier. I have to start OCI for me and my husband both. He is not of indian origin. I need to research and see if I can do both of ours at the same time or not.

Not that it is applicable to me but finally one of the Passport Agencies entered phase 3.  I think we will start seeing a few more entering phase 3 in October.

Hello, guys, is anybody from Boston, MA?

Applied for my passport yesterday. Just want to know what is a timeline. My last waiting challenge I hope it will be over soon. 

I read in forums it can take 12 weeks or so to get the passport. I do not plan traveling this year, but just want to finish this journey.
