Why?

Because nothing is moving there, and the customer service agents don’t have any  idea what month they are processing now.

My application has been stuck there since July 7. And the funny thing is that they went into phase one on August 17 :)

I spoke to the liaison at the congressman's office about 4 hours ago and now I see that my passport has been shipped! Unbelievable! Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. It'll probably be close to 12 weeks for me at the New Orleans passport office.

Thanks @giovanna024 for your suggestion.

Yep. That center was setup purposely to Prioritize the PP application and renewal process of our military men and women , their spouses and children. So my guess is they’ll finish with every backlog that has military on it before they move down to civilians. That’s my thought.

In that case, that's going to be a long wait. The good thing is that I don't have any immediate plan to travel. For how long have you had your application there?

You don't need your certificate or any form of proof to register to vote.
