Give up to 10 business days.  If by the following 2 or 3 days still will not show "In Process" on the Passport Application Status website, try contacting the post office, if you submit it from there, and ask to check the tracking number. Fingers crossed it will be at DOS this coming days. 🤞;)

PASSPORT IN HAND!!!!

I got e mail this morning my Passport was approved and shipped. Processed at Dallas passport Agency. Applied on August 10th. They started to process on August 20th. Exactly 4 weeks.

Just got my certificate back. So the complete timeline for Routine (regular/standard) processing with standard delivery, applied for both book and card ($140 total + $35 USPS execution fee):

If I may give you some advice

In the status fill in:

Don't copy and paste your name. Don't let auto-fill drop in your name. Type it out exactly as your passport application.

Birthdate is US format, not European. DAY/MONTH/FULL YEAR 

When typing the Captcha security code, leave your caps lock on for letters, and use the number keypad for numbers.

 

Any discrepancy, it will result in "not found" even if the Captcha code is wrongly entered.

 

Been there!!!

Thanks. I am from Chicago area. I became a citizen in last week of July and submitted my passport application from Chicago suburbs via USPS.

@KP2019 alternatively, you can track the money order and see if was cashed. If that's the case, it may be due to a typographical error on your part.

Anyone else been refreshing the Status of Operations page waiting for this week's update? Historically it seems like they were updating the number of agencies/centers + phase # on Monday and then number of apps processed on Thursday, but this week agencies/centers are still as of August 3rd and there was no Monday update. Boo.

For the Passport Agencies Covid-19 Update: Phased Reopening, it is not consistent that every Monday or every week there are new changes, that's what I've noticed since June they posted the first agencies who entered Phase one. But for the data that were processed and received per week, they update the website if not late of Wednesday or Thursday.

You should have received an email when received "in Process"

You will get an email when approved.

Huh, I did not get an email, inbox or spam. I've just been checking the Online Tracker pretty regularly and noticed it was in process this morning. It did have my email below, and that was accurate, though. Who knows.

The email is word for word what you see on the status page.

When your application is "In Process" you will not received an email notice from the Department of State. On my own application, I even called the National Passport Information Center and asked why I didn't receive email notice that it is "In Process" and that my application was already with DOS, since on the DS-11 form I have put my email. The agent told me that they will not send notice once it is "In Process" or when it is with the DOS. They only send email notice once it is "Approved" and when they shipped. I am sure of this because not only for my own application but also for my parents which the status became "In Process" on July 29 and both didn't receive email notice.
