hello all, for those of you who applied for both the passport book and card, did they cash your full check (cost of book and card together) or separately?

i haven't received my passport card, and it's been two weeks now since I received my passport book. i can see in my bank statement that they only charged me the cost of the book. i called the passport center to inquire and they said they can't check the status of passport card applications and advised me to request for a re-issue (but if they haven't charged me for it, I'm wondering if they never got it in the first place)? what would you do?

I was charged in full as well. Can you tell us the amount you wrote in the check?

Something is definitely up with mine then. I sent them one check for the full amount but they only took the cost of the passport from it. I thought at that time, they will do a separate charge for the card cost at a later date. :(

Like someone else said, they can't decide how much to take from a check, they will either take the amount that is written on the check or deny the check completely. So in your case you must've missed to add the amount for both, and only the amount for the passport book. Or you sent two separate checks and they missed one.

Can't say I'm a banking expert but I thought it was illegal for them to deposit a check for an amount different from the written amount. I'd more expect it was an error than intentional, and perhaps an error on their side and not yours. Types incorrectly in their deposit system for example.

Maybe someone else knows more they can clarify on the check deposit issue. Below is the fees from the calculator, the 208.32 is without the book.

i haven't backtracked enough on pages here but since late February, 3 that applied received back their Naturalization certificate, everybody else still waiting unless some already received it but didn't bother to update here yet and/or are still waiting on the passport itself. I've been noticing most of you got sent to NH (locator 69) and they have been pretty good processing and returning documents, i think i'm one of the few who got Dallas, TX (locator 55) here so its hard to figure out the turnaround ( Mine has been 26 days from passport arrival and counting and no sign of my certificate... 😑 ). Hopefully everybody that still waiting receive it and in one piece.

Can you share your passport application timeline please? My application is being processed by locator 55 too. Thank you.
