Routine process, see that it is now approved but not yet received passport

2/24 applied in USPS.  Did not expedite

3/1 In process with locator number "34" which is Charleston

3/17 Approved "You should receive your passport book on or around 03/23/2022."

USPS Informed Delivery shows a package intended to arrive Monday 3/21, that should be it.

Will post here once received but seems they are back to normal process taking under a month.

hi everyone, thought I'd add my timeline in here. got my passport today, it only took exactly 3 weeks from the day I dropped my application at USPS to passport book in hand. i opted for both expedited processing and shipping (which said 5-7 weeks processing). i guess they are not backlogged anymore? I got old gen version.

how long does it usually take to receive the passport card and naturalization certificate back? hoping I get both soon!

2/17 USPS drop off

3/22 Received at processing center, status was "in process". Locator: 69 (New Hampshire)

3/8 USPS envelope said passport was shipped this day.

3/9 Passport book in hand. I was checking the status everyday and it did not change at all until today when the passport book was already in my mailbox so to speak. I saw it in Informed Delivery first and when I checked the passport tracking site after, the status just changed to Approved. So it seems like tracking is all over the place.

3/18 Naturalization certificate in hand. So relieved!

i haven't backtracked enough on pages here but since late February, 3 that applied received back their Naturalization certificate, everybody else still waiting unless some already received it but didn't bother to update here yet and/or are still waiting on the passport itself. I've been noticing most of you got sent to NH (locator 69) and they have been pretty good processing and returning documents, i think i'm one of the few who got Dallas, TX (locator 55) here so its hard to figure out the turnaround ( Mine has been 26 days from passport arrival and counting and no sign of my certificate... 😑 ). Hopefully everybody that still waiting receive it and in one piece.

Hello everyone!

Excited to join this new thread :)

This is my timeline so far:

March 03, 2022: Submitted Application at USPS in NYC. Passport Book + Card and expedited processing with standard delivery.

March 09, 2022 (Day 06): Check cashed. Status: in process (locator 69).

I want to travel in the first week of April. I think it will be tight, but hopefully it will work!

Hi everyone,

There are updates in my case. An hour ago I received  a bunch of SMS from USPS about an incoming package from AR I didn't recognize. It occurred to me to check the State Department tracker, and my request shows now as approved. I have not received any confirmation email even though I was subscribed to the email alerts every time my status changed.

I should receive my passport on Thursday. I will continue to update.

hello all, for those of you who applied for both the passport book and card, did they cash your full check (cost of book and card together) or separately?

i haven't received my passport card, and it's been two weeks now since I received my passport book. i can see in my bank statement that they only charged me the cost of the book. i called the passport center to inquire and they said they can't check the status of passport card applications and advised me to request for a re-issue (but if they haven't charged me for it, I'm wondering if they never got it in the first place)? what would you do?

Something is definitely up with mine then. I sent them one check for the full amount but they only took the cost of the passport from it. I thought at that time, they will do a separate charge for the card cost at a later date. :(

The check is written for a set amount, they can’t take more or less than what you wrote on the check
