My application has been approved, eta for passport and passport card according to the tracker is 2/27/22.

Here are my passport and social security record update timelines.

 

01/05/2022: Oath ceremony

01/05/2022: Applied at USPS in Philadelphia (didn't expedite)

01/07/2022: Received and In Process

01/28/2022: Approved

01/29/2022: Received passport book in a USPS Priority mail envelope

01/31/2022: Received passport card in first class mail

02/10/2022: Received naturalization certificate in a yellow looking envelope

02/17/2022: Updated my Social Security record From Green Card Holder to US Citizen using just my passport card and a filled out SS-5 form. I was lucky enough to get an appointment at my local office by calling the national number (800 772 1213) instead of my local office who never answers the phone. I believe you can also use the dropbox at your local office to do this but I didn't want to take that chance with my original documents. If you have to use your local office dropbox, I suggest you just use your passport card as citizenship evidence and they should mail it back to you. That way, you're only taking a risk with your passport card just in case it goes missing.

congrats for completing the whole journey. I just wonder is your passport a NGP or old style?

Received my passport and passport card today. Separate envelopes, both came from Dallas, Texas. Will see now how long to receive back the certificate of citizenship. Will update my SS# with the office in a few weeks.

Just submitted my passport application at USPS (regular speed). All I am hoping is the safe return of my Naturalization Certificate Original.

Update: DOS Online Passport status page indicated that my passport is Approved just now.

Passport application sent in 2/24/2022

 

Not online yet, they said at the USPS that it will take up to 2 weeks (3/10/2022) before it is in the system. 

 

Next steps after passport received - Update Social Security, drivers license, register to vote

Received Passport on Feb 28th, 2022. Still to get Naturalization Certificate and Passport Card safely.

Another person that I know has filed on 2/17, found online on DOS site yesterday. But the receipt date was 2/24 on the DOS site.

So, give few more days to find yours online but it may have a receipt date earlier than now.

I just noticed that your locator number was 69, but received a NGP in contrary to what you expected. Can you please share from where your passport was mailed? My locator number is 69 too and then I'm hopeful to get a NGP either.

Applied for passport on Feb 19th. no expedite, all normal post. No status so far.

@AlexUSA: Your observation is correct. I have double checked and compared with New Gen and Old Gen, mine is Old Gen. I have updated the signature accordingly. Thanks for that insight.

Just checked today and they have logged it into the system

 

"The U.S. Department of State has received your application for your passport book on 03/01/2022. We're now reviewing your application and supporting documents."

Today I have received my Original Naturalization Certificate intact. This concludes my Naturalization Journey.

SS Update: Sent passport card for this on the day of card arrival.

DMV update: My DL renewal is in few months, scheduled an appointment for that.

I will update the status of my SS updates in my signature as they progress.

Question: Do I need to update my SS right away or can it wait until the summer ? It still has my maiden name for the last 10 years. I'm a teacher and I don't pay into SS anyway.
