SO, what is the that extra cost? That was my original question.I will be selecting standard processing with standard delivery of documents. The DOS website is showing the fee/cost of $130. Is that all I will be paying in addition to $35 acceptance fee charged by USPS. so, total it should be $165. Is that what you paid?

Technically yes. But I have also chosen Passport card also($30 more) thus, I have paid $160+$35 for regular.

I want to get the new generation passport so bad. Just wonder, could it be said, the odds of getting NGP is becoming higher than old passport (more than 50%) in this year as many of the printers already replaced with new one or it'd take more time to reach that point (majority being NGP)?

Did my oath ceremony on the 21st (Friday) went to do the passport + card on Monday the 24th, standard process, non expedited. Lets see how long it will take.

I applied today for the passport at USPS. I went with the standard/routine option!

Does anyone know what is the city of processing for my Passport locator number starting with 69? Thanks

Update: Answering my own question: Its New Hampshire. So apparently 69 is NH, It sends Old generation passport. Source Reddit

How does the assignment of passport application to different locations happen? Is it random or there is a pattern like most of the application from a states goes to a specific state. I'm from Vegas, if it matters.

Mine is going into 2 weeks from submitting all the stuff at the Post Office this coming Monday (2/7),  it is not showing in their system yet.
