So… This might be a dumb question, but is it normal that my money order hasn’t been cashed a week after I submitted my application?  I understand that I’m very impatient here, and I unfortunately also don’t have a tracking number to see where the package is at right now.  Also, I know there was a holiday last week, but still.  

Patience is a virtue I am unfortunately not blessed with…

Have you ever talked to a live agent about passport application? I received my passport but have not received my NC and it has been over 5 weeks. I try calling the number it just gives me the IVR options and no live agent.

Yes, but it hasn't been helpful. I did write to them and got a reply back so maybe try that? Address depends on your locator ID.

Thank you I'll drop a note to them. I read another thread where people waited for 8-9 weeks and then got the certs back so I may just wait it out.

Yes I had to call them when my passport application was pending, but that was back in April and I had no issues getting to talk to someone then - but I waited in line for quite a while before someone picked up.

No idea what it's like these days.

My son and I submitted passport application October 16. I checked his status once and it said in process. I logged in to check again and it's saying not available. I did several time. Mine show passport shipped. Has anyone had this before?

Hi All,

 

10/25: Applied at local library (expedited)

11/1: showed as 'In Processing'

11/12: Showed as 'Approved/Shipped'

11/17: Arrived in Mailbox (regular shipping)

 

NC not yet arrived, but pleasantly surprised by the timeline for the passport approval,

application number started with 79 and Passport was shipped from Arizona (old style).

 

I signed up for their e-mail warnings but never received anything, not sure if this is a common thing or just something that happened with me, wasn't a big deal of course.

Here is my passport application timeline, hope it can help

 

10/14: Applied at USPS (expedited)

10/20: "in process" at locator 68. Check was cashed on the same day.

11/16: Got approved

11/18: Received old style passport

11/29: Received NC

10/22: Applied at USCIS Chicago Office (Expedited)

10/26: In Process

11/22: Approved

11/24: Passport Book received ( I think Old style)

11/27: Passport Card received

Anyone out here who has not received the NC for over 7-8 weeks now? I tried calling and they said "may be it got delayed due to Holidays and if not, it got lost in the mail. we don't keep the tracking information, unfortunately!" WTH

11/13: Applied at Local Library (1st time passport for wife, renewal passport for son, both regular service)

11/18: PASSPORTSERVICES PAYMENT check deposited

12/8: Passports shipped

12/11: Passport Book received (Both in same priority mail envelope, both old style)

 

Not received NC or sons old passport book yet

Still waiting on Naturalization Cert to get returned.  Interestingly my US passport was approved with a photo that was rejected when used on a UK passport app at the same time, so they must be way more relaxed here with photo requirements.  So it took about 5 weeks from application to receiving passport in hand with standard process, not the 18 weeks they told me at the post office, not bad at all in the end.
