I applied at a local courthouse with routine service in mid-August.  Check cashed on 8/24.  Just checked and application status is approved and it says I should receive my book on or around 9/25.  Way quicker than I anticipated.  Locator number starts with 51

WOW, that was fast with Routine service.

Anybody applied got theirs sent to New Orleans in the past month still waiting?

Not in the past month but I did, along with my two kids since July 15. I figured it would be further delayed due to the hurricane.

Wife's passport was supposed to be delivered on Saturday, nothing today.  Tracking shows nothing after leaving the Arizona USPS facility.  Wife just received notice that she needs to return to work on October 8 so we aren't leaving for vacation anymore.  What a focking disaster.  Plans were completely ruined - we aren't going to spend money to only spend a week at our home in the DR.  We wanted to leave this week.

Every time I think some step of this whole immigration thing is coming to an end, there's always something to ruin it.

Sorry guys, just needed to vent.

So sorry to hear about your wife's passport being delayed again... And I totally relate: every step of my immigration process took the most amount of time it could while others got lucky with super quick approvals. And even now my passport is also in limbo and bc of my father's health I actually need to go back to home country as soon as possible.

Mine went to New Orleans. Expedited. Process started on Aug 16. Received passport on Sep 15. You should get yours soon. Despite closed for 2 weeks, they said it should still be under 6 weeks.

Ok thanks I’m checking status everyday since some people say they don’t always get email updates

I can’t complain much since my immigration processes were pretty smooth and quick, but the passport process has been frustrating still. I considered reaching out to a member of Congress but my travel needs aren’t as urgent or immediate and I don’t want ask for help when someone else might need more urgent help with their passport compared to me.

Passport arrived today.  Still amazed that it only took about 5 weeks without expedited service.  Now just waiting for my naturalization certificate to come back and I'm DONE with USCIS forever.  What a great feeling
