Congratulations to all of you!  I think the agencies are picking up their speed and they are doing a great job.... Let's give them credit whenever it is due!  I hope they keep up their speed and keep up the great work.

I completely agree with you. People often forget that there’s literally millions of pending applications which require verification and careful vetting. This takes time and a huge effort, especially during a world-wide pandemic.

Honestly, if it comes down to it, I’d rather wait a little longer than compromise quality and security. In my opinion, they’re doing an excellent job, all things considered.

I have one is New Hampshire and one in SC Charleston.  I would like to know if anyone can share their experience  as well, thanks.

My family's applications went to SC. But the codes are different from the reddit post. The first two digits of our locator numbers are 66...

Another application (expedited) though has a 42 code. Is it New Orleans? don't know. 4 weeks since in-process and still waiting for the approval...

Applied: 06/29/2021 (expedited with priority shipping)

Delivered to Philadelphia passport agency: 06/30/2021 (signed for at 11pm!)

In Process: 07/03/2021 (lists application as received on 07/02/21)

Bank account showing check pending 07/05/21
Approved: 08/04/2021, estimated passport delivery date 08/06/2021 (1-2 day shipping)

so one month + one day after “in process”

Locator number starts with 34 btw.

FYI usps informed delivery says the passport is physically being sent from Tucson, AZ.

I also found out separately that all expedited passport applications are sent to the Philadelphia passport agency in the first instance.

NH is where it went after it was farmed out by Philadelphia. There are only two main receiving centers for passport applications within the US - Philadelphia handles all expedited and most states for regular (different addresses within the PA agency for these though), and then there are some states (California, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, New York, and Texas) where the regular get sent to Irving, TX.

Fyi my daughter’s was expedited, the application was sent to PA, had the application locator number in NC, and the actual passport is being sent from AZ 🤷‍♀️

Wow!  So, it took them 4 weeks to change the status to "in process" which happened to multiple people at this site (where the locator number begins with 34), but then it took them only 1 week to approve it.  That's really good... So, either someone did not efficiently update your "in process" status and took them 4 weeks to do that, or they truly started to process your application 4 weeks later, just like what happened with many people at that center. If the latter is correct, the great news is that it took them only one week to process and issue your passport.  Very well! Congratulations!

Omg, it looks like my daughters  passport is lost somewhere in the USPS system. Tracking says delivery was supposed  to be 6pm yesterday but last update was yesterday 4am in Tucson and nothing new since … I guess I’ll go into my local Usps to try follow up. Any other suggestions of what to do?

This has happened to me with USPS tracking before....they'll probably tell you to wait a couple days first before they investigate. Most likely it's just delayed. If nothing shows by next week, then go and follow up with them. That's what I'd do.

It is not lost... It happens routinely with the USPS tracking system and you will soon see it for yourself that the passport is very close by your town and maybe even delivered at your mail box. I would not worry about it because it is a matter of days, maybe hours.
