That’s pretty quick! Can you clarify if 6/25 was date it was handed in (at USPS?) or date shown as received by passport agency? And do you know which passport office it went to?

Yeah I was surprised to see the update this quick. 6/25 I submitted the application to USPS 6/29 Checked cashed and status updated to In process. It went to Philadelphia.

Mine changed to expedited after several days. I am not sure if they start everyone from routine service, then change to expedited as appropriate. So your wife's application might change to expedited as well. Don't worry. Good luck.

Good to know. Good luck to you as well

Received the passport today. Just under 3 weeks from submitting the application at USPS to receiving the passport. I was expecting it to take 6 - 7 weeks.

Received passport for myself, spouse and kids on 6/28. Still waiting for original documents from 17 days.

No one is picking up customer service calls.

Anyone have ideas how to contact them?

If you haven't received your documents 2 months after you received your passport, then you can start calling them. It's not unusual that it takes up to 2 months.

Agree with scandi, this is well within normal timeframes.

Today I went to the post office and applied for my passport. I did the expidite service. The postal clerk did let me know the longer processing time. I noticed on my receipt that my application is getting sent to Philadelphia.

Sorry to hear that, seems like Philadelphia is one of the slowest passport offices. Let's hope it starts moving faster soon.

I hope so, but I am not in a hurry. I just hope that I get my passport and definitely my certificate of naturalization back. I am planning to travel next year when hopefully things open up because I am planning to bury my mom’s urn to her motherland per her wish with my dad. But I have to make sure I have my stuff ready first so I can bring her home.

All the applications are sent to a po box in philly and then redistributed to centers across the country. So, yours might get sent to a different processing center. Only time will tell. Good luck!

I don't think that's true.  Mine was sent to Texas! (maybe it got redistributed afterwards!)  I don't know... but I followed it to Texas.

aahhhh, ok. Didn't know that.

So, people that are seeing the tracking info paid for expedited shipping on top of expedited service? I have never seen that on my applications and I was thinking it could be regional.....
