The Congresswoman's office emailed me today.  They have found our application.  Whether that means they actually physically found it or just looked up the number on a computer screen (I suspect the second).  At least they responded.  Now we'll see what happens these next couple of days.  They send it out by next Monday,  I'm in good shape.  Praying this fiasco ends this week.

how long after you sent those did you get your passport?   I had the Congresswoman's staff look at all my paperwork, including what I sent them.  They said it all looked perfect to them.  I hate going through this, especially since I have to have the passport in my daughter's hands in just 17 days.  Hoping this is the week.

I think it's been about 62 days since I mailed the info they requested.  It's a crapshoot.   Where did you mail the information they requested?   My info was sent to New Hampshire.

I am still waiting for original documents. its 19 days since passport approval 😞

Low and behold! My wife's 5504 with expedited service is also showing up as regular processing....

Did yours change? Did that cash the check?

Mine changed to expedited after several days. I am not sure if they start everyone from routine service, then change to expedited as appropriate. So your wife's application might change to expedited as well. Don't worry. Good luck.

Maybe this exposure by WSJ will get them into gear

You've got to be kidding me.    They'll reference that article as justification why your passport took so ridiculously long.    The head of that agency's head should roll over this unmitigated buffoonery.  But hell, they'll get a raise and a pat on the back.  People who obey the laws and pay taxes?  To the rear of the line, please!  Pregnant and waltz across the border?  You're turned loose instantly.   Your kid will be a citizen and all your health care free.  Just vote Democrat!

Any one else waiting for original documents like me (19 days running).

I just got my Certificate 20 days after I got my passport. The certificate was shipped four business days after they mailed my passport… so pretty much it was the USPS taking they’re sweet time.

Got an email update last night that passport got approved and I should expect to receive it by 7/16. Applied 6/25

That’s pretty quick! Can you clarify if 6/25 was date it was handed in (at USPS?) or date shown as received by passport agency? And do you know which passport office it went to?
