I got an update today.

Naturalization 4-19

Applied for passport 4-19 expedite 

They received application 4-22

Approved 5-11

Shipped 5-12

They said I will receive it on d 5-15. Fingers crossed. Worth the extral payment

Tracking showed the passport book (priority mail express) arrived at the USPS International distribution center on Friday May 7th, with no movement over the weekend - so just a head's up for anyone else in L.A.

 

Naturalization Certificate Received: May 13th

(Priority Mail envelope, but still soft enough that the mail carrier was about to fold it in half to put through mail slot.. sheer luck made me there at the moment - and able to stop him.)

should i worry about it or just chill out ? reading all the progress that u guys have, it seems that the processing time is vary from one center to another and i guess is depend on which state you live in. correct me if i was wrong 

my time line is kind of weird, Applied on 04/05 at USPS redlands CA with EXPEDITE service, and DOS received on 04/26. it is way too long long, isn't it ? yup, i think there's something wrong with the USPS where i live. (cross finger ).

anyway, my current status is still in progress. 

on the passport application, i wrote that i am planning to travel on 05/23 and visa is required now days.

do you think ? do i need to call them and ask U.S passport or i just wait till week 4 or 5

if i called them, do you guys have any idea, what question do i need to ask them since if i asked about the progress u can see online, right, (😁😁 yeah i know that is awkward concern )

 

anyway, i appreciate your input guys,

Did you include the delivery express fee in your check? 1-2 Day Delivery $17.56.

 

My understanding is that the 60 dollars expedite fee doesn't include express delivery, but only the reviewing + issuing passport process.

Yeah, I paid that too, all it cost $ 217.56.

When I had applied Post Office didn't asked me for the expediated shipping ; hence I missed that. Is there any way I can add that now? Mine is still In Progress

i guess yes, u can call national passport 877-487-2778 and asked them to expedite ur process and paid thru the phone.

i read a VJ member that he changed the service to expedite. 😁

Received my Naturalization Certificate today (May 15th), exactly two weeks after receiving the passport.

- It was mailed in a tan/orange colored manila envelope via first class mail. 

- There were no folds, but the mailman crushed one corner of the envelope a bit while stuffing it in my mail box. Smoothing it out under some weight should set it right.

- The USPS lady stapled it along with my application & other supporting documents right in front of me. So I knew it had staple holes and was worried if it was ripped when they processed my application. But looks like they were gentle in removing the staple. In fact, took me a while to find the holes in the busy border of the certificate - the holes are tiny and not noticeable. 

 

All in all, the NC arrived undamaged and in good condition. I will smooth it out and place it in a sheet protector. Probably will never need it again.

27-Apr  =  "Application Approved" email

28-Apr  =  Passport & Card shipped (from Little Rock, AR)

01-May =  Passport received

03-May =  Passport Card received

 

Happy with the turn-around times. The lady at USPS said expedited is 4-6 weeks, so 3 weeks is pretty good - actually it is exactly 2 weeks from "In Process" to "Shipped".

Yet to receive my Naturalization Certificate, it will probably arrive sometime this week.

No progress unfortunately, I called them (3 hours wait) and they said that I have to have an emergency proofed by hospital letter and flight ticket to get passport within 72 hours. I had ticket but no emergency letter so they said that I have to wait. I rescheduled my flight but still thinking about calling congressman.

New Hampshire center google reviews are horrifying, some people wait for 2-4 months.

sorry to hear that and thank you for share your experienced here. i've even got no idea where they sent my application tho,probably, i'll ask while i am calling them.

i really hope you hear something soon.
