Aliare, you're right there was more than wonky edit. I think someone sorted the table without selecting all rows, but that does not explain why everyone got changed to expedited. There were also a few formula errors in column J.

I have now reverted to the last version that made sense and fixed all the obvious errors I could find – see here. Please be careful when entering data.

Standard processing, applied at a USPS office in Los Angeles.

Mar 30 - Applied
Apr 13 - "In Process"
Apr 14 - Check cashed
May 5 - "Approved"
May 5 - "Shipped" (Arkansas Passport Center)
May 8 - Passport received

So about 5 and a half week for the whole process.

Received my Naturalization Certificate today, May 11, in great condition. No folds despite the fact that it was just sent in a regular manilla envelope.

Informed Delivery only showed "There is a mailpiece for which we do not currently have an image that is included in today's mail".

The post stamp shows it was shipped on May 7, and the address on the envelope says

"Boston Passport Agency,

44132 Mercure Cir

PO Box 1017

Sterling, VA, 20166"

🤷‍♀️

Just thought it was funny that it says Boston passport agency, but the address is Sterling, VA. Either way, apparently getting a passport in this country requires a ton of long-distance shipping, both for supporting documents and the passport itself. Glad it's done and over with, and VERY happy it's valid for 10 years (unlike my Swedish passport that is only valid for 5..).

Mine arrived today and the address is also in Sterling, VA but it says “Washington Passport Agency”. At first, without my glasses, I thought it said WA not VA. I live in WA and I was asking myself “where the heck is Sterling, Washington?”.

Lol, yeah! And weird it's different passport agencies but same address. Either way, congrats on getting the Certificate back, if only everyone was that lucky. Now I need to get some kind of fancy certificate holder/protector for it. 😁

Preliminary timeline for LA :

Oath 4/29

Applied for Passport (book only , expedited) 4/30 - at USPS (made appointment 30 day prior, guessing the Oath date)

5/12 - In Progress

Still waiting ....

Are there any chances for any kind of speeding up the process with "In Progress" status ? Thinking about trying to call cause I do have live-event which should qualify for "life-death case" ...

Thanks !

Yes, call them.

Two people who had the oath same day as me had some life emergencies and needed to travel immediately. They went to the local (Dallas, TX) passport agency and got their passport in a few hours.

Hi! Does anyone know how can I call congressman  to speed up passport process? my application is processing in New Hampshire which is one of the worst centers, its been processing for more than 2 weeks now and I have to travel in 4 days. I don't have life or death emergency but I do have tickets bought. Any advice? Anyone experienced calling a congressman? I'm in San Francisco.

I don't think you can speed up the process beyond expedited, which you have already chosen. Within 72 hours you can make an appointment at a passport agency near you. I have never done that but they say that appointments are extremely limited.
