I got e mail this morning my Passport was approved and shipped. Processed at Dallas passport Agency. Applied on August 10th. They started to process on August 20th. Exactly 4 weeks.

Just got my certificate back. So the complete timeline for Routine (regular/standard) processing with standard delivery, applied for both book and card ($140 total + $35 USPS execution fee):

applied for passport book and card (expedited): 4/13 (2021)

 

In process: 4/21

 

then 2 emails within a few hours

 

approved: 5/5 (10:09pm)

shipped:   5/6 (12:15am)

direct quote from email: 

'The U.S. Department of State has shipped your passport book and card on 05/05/2021.

We sent your passport book and card to you using USPS Express Mail.'

wow,,u got lucky, mine still in process, 

how could that happens, i mean, what's the different 😁😁😁 i applied on 04/05/2021 and expedited too, but unfortunate, DOS received on 4/26...

am i still in the time frame of expedite process,.? 😁😁

2009 = started to learn for DV visa

2010 = missed the chance, due to stay in the jungle,,seriously :cry:

2011 = missed the chance, due to work activity, too busy :crying:

2012 = started to learn again, and tried to apply DV visa, but finally not selected, and realize that i put with wrong background picture. failed to understand the requirement. :oops:

01/10/2013 = applied for DV visa, with fully sure that picture is exactly same what website asked.

01/05/2014 = website was down due to high traffic

03/05/2014 = check for DV winner, finally it shows congratulation, you have been selected for,,,,

26/07/2014 = submitted form DS 260.

15/08/2014 = got 2nd letter notification

27/09/2014 = medical check up done

15/10/2014 = got interview with US embassy, but case is pending

09/11/2014 = resubmit additional document

10/12/2014 = got email from US embassy to hand over all the passport

11/12/2014 = DV visa granted and printed

15/01/2015 = paid for immigration fee

16/03/2015 = landed safety in USA, POE = los angeles (LA)

31/03/2015=went back to home country

26/05/2015=come back to LA without plastic GC

28/05/2015=visited in person to SSA office, they claimed that SSN was sent already by immigration, SSA office made for replacement

04/06/2015=SSN in hand

09/06/2015=make ID

09/07/2015= GC in hand for 10 years

01/30/2020= Submit N400

01/31/2020=NOA1

02/07/2020= Got letter for Bio metric finger print 

02/20/2020= appointment for finger print (nice date)

01/14/2021= got notification for set up interview,,hiks hiks don't know when ?

02/24/2021 = interview date and pass 

02/24/2021 : checked my USCIS account and it said Oath ceremony notice was mailed to my address. 

03/26/2021 : the oath ceremony is done 😁😁 and got a certificate of us naturalization,

The only thing I can think of is that the process (timeframe) 'starts' from when they received the application, not from when you mailed it.

DOS receiving the application 3 weeks after you sent it, seems a long time! but it could be a post office issue.. I'm not sure.

 

it might also depend on which passport center your application was sent to - I'm not an expert, but have read other threads that say the application can be sent to various service centers, depending on workload.

none of this is within our control, unfortunately.

so - as far as your application being in the current 4-6 week timeframe for expedited.. I think it only counts from 4/26.

someone can correct me if any of this is wrong.

I really hope you hear something soon.

Standard processing, applied at a USPS office in Los Angeles.

 

Mar 30 - Applied
Apr 13 - "In Process"
Apr 14 - Check cashed 
May 5 - "Approved"
May 5 - "Shipped" (Arkansas Passport Center)
May 8 - Passport received

 

So about 5 and a half week for the whole process. 

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021

Passport Book and Card received: May 10 (Separate envelopes)

 

Tracking showed the passport book (priority mail express) arrived at the USPS International distribution center on Friday May 7th, with no movement over the weekend - so just a head's up for anyone else in L.A.

I made d appointment d day I got the naturalization interview letter. My appointment  was 10am I made appointment for 2pm at usps

Damn, that was fast. I cannot find a single appointment at USPS in 100mi radius lol

 

I was able to find the “passport application acceptance facilities,” and they are walk-in only. It looks like they are government facilities and some are located in county courts.
I wonder if anyone has use them.

Yes they open dates every 2 weeks. I knew Dat that was why I picked my date b4 the naturalization interview

Just an FYI this spreadsheet was completely messed up by someone, all the dates were changes and it no longer reflects the real picture. This is very upsetting, and if you don't know how to use google sheets just please do not make any changes here!

to be honest I don't know when the major changes were made and I believe we should restore some old version. I fixed the dates for my entry 3 times in the past week or so, since it was deleted, changed to regular from expedited, and then someone changed the date....

I guess, my dates are ok, but not sure if everyone is expedited, it's filtered or something? I see column J was also messed up in the old version.

Thank you for fixing this! Waiting for the passport became a stressful experience.
