My expedited passport renewal application was received on 10/20 and the locator number is 19, which is apparently DC. Anyone have timelines for DC out of curiosity? Seems less common from searching around.

My locator number starts with a 10. Does anyone know where that office is? and how long it takes for NCs to come from there?

Boston. They were fast when I applied for my passport back in April, everything was backlogged then but I got my passport in ~5 weeks with standard routine service. Received the passport on a Saturday and received the NC the following Tuesday, so just ~2 business days in between. Very fast.

Thank you! This makes me very nervous :( I got my passport a month ago but no NC.....it's $555 to replace to hopefully it isn't lost

You can always call and see if they can tell you when the NC was shipped. It can also be that USPS is slower than usual.

Got my new passport today. It's the next-gen version. It shipped from Tucson but the return address is from Dulles, VA, which probably confirms that 19 is the DC office.

After 5+ weeks of my passport book and card arriving, my NC finally arrived yesterday!! It was in a manila envelop unfolded and did not show up on USPS informed delivery!

SO relieved!

11/08/2021 - Naturalization Certificate received by First Class mail. Postmark shows mailed on 11/04/2021, from Houston, TX.

The certificate condition itself is good. It wasn't folded. The certificate has a few staple holes in one corner (USPS stapled my application when I submitted it).

So all up, one month to the day from when I submitted it.

I Guess my process starts today, I was told at the post office (Northern VA) it could take up to 18 weeks (standard process, I would have done expedited but was using a check of my wifes as I don't have a checkbook, its 2021 after all).  Let's hope she was wrong.

I got my application in yesterday (also NOVA, also USPS), and they seem to have some outdated info on some stuff.  For instance, they didn’t let me use the picture I brought in, even though I had looked up 10x if it was okay (I smile and my teeth are showing slightly, which, according to the most recent guidelines, is okay).  Besides, I went to a photographer for that who follows the guidelines to the T.  Finally, I caved and had them take another one and paid the extra $15.  They also said that expedited could take “up to 12 weeks”, but the most recent processing times outlined on state.gov say 5-7 weeks (8-11 for regular).  I wouldn’t be too worried for right now; after summer, it seems to have sped up a little bit.  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/processing-times.html
