I called customer support and they mentioned if the check is cashed then its very uncommon to not show up the status for the application. My check was cashed on 8/12, so not sure what is going on.

So far, moving quicker than I expected for regular processing. Hoping that the passport & card would arrive in a month or so. Will update when I get them.

July 23 - Submitted application at County Clerk's Office

Aug 09 - Application "In Process" (Locator number starting with 78 - El Paso)

Aug 10 - Check cashed 

Aug 23 - Passport Mailed from Tucson, AZ

Aug 25 - Passport Received

Aug 26 - Passport Card & Birth Certificate Received.

 

Just under 5 weeks from submission to receipt. Pretty fast I'd say, especially for a regular (non-expedited) application. 

 

Edit: Did not get email updates for any of the above. I was just checking the status every couple of days starting a week after applying.

Same happened with me. My last name is misspelled in the system. I can locate my application now.

Yeah I figured, since they cashed your check you obviously have a pending application, so when you still can't see the status it's likely because they didn't enter your info correct. 

 

Glad you found out finally, now you don't have to wonder about that anymore.

Well, this is just great. Passport was shipped and I got the tracking number, tracking says "Delivered" as of this morning but there's no package to be found! I checked everywhere. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, not for my passport but for other packages. Package would turn up the next day.

I tried to submit the Missing Mail form here: https://missingmail.usps.com/

But apparently for express packages you have to wait 7 days first. Just posting this here in case this situation happens to anyone else.

I would run down to my local post office immediately and ask them to check the GPS cordinates for the package. They can see things there that the regular tracking doesn't show.

 

We sell on Amazon and that's what we do whenever there's something wrong with one of our packages.
