2020/ 21- US Passport & Card Application-Tracker

Submitted today at the post office with expedited shipping/expedited processing. Let's see how long the wait will be. I was told it should arrive by October at the latest.

This has sprung up as a topic on a local Facebook page. Seems most of the people from my area who submitted expedited have been getting their passports in just about exactly 6 weeks - so we  won’t be as lucky as some of the others here who’ve got them in less than 4. (Tomorrow is 4 weeks since receipt at the passport agency.)

Did anyone else send a money order instead of a check? I chose that option because I thought it might be faster?

Yes I did money order and you can track to see if they cash the money money order by going here. You are going to need the money order serial number. You should have it on the peice they gave you back when you did the money order

Received Notification:  July 9th

Check Cashed:  July 12th

Approval:  July 30th

Expected Delivery*:  August 7th

 

If that holds true, about 7 weeks from filing to passport.

 

We paid for expedited service.

 

*The approval notice on the passportstatus.state.gov website gave the expected delivery date.  Who knows how accurate.  Good news is that only printing and delivery left now.

In my own experience shipping went a lot faster than what the website said, so you can hopefully expect your passport much sooner than you think.

When you say "recd", do you mean the date when the application was received by the receiving end in the mail and was noted in mail tracking system? or you mean when your application status turned to "in process"?

Your question does not warrant further explanation. The point is that the expedited passport was approved in approx. 1 month. Thats enough information.
