FYI husband got email that passport approved and being printed, they say it should arrive around 2/14.

Background: applied 01/05 (via usps), took about 3 weeks to show up on the passport status page. Pleasantly surprised that this is significantly faster than the 10-12 weeks they say routine processing will take.

Congrats! That was fast. I still haven't received my NC after being approved over a week ago. My passport and card had arrived last week.

What info do you want other than what I mentioned in that post? (The approval email came today, 2/8 - if that wasn’t clear)

I just submitted passport application through USPS and to my surprise, USPS did not even give me tracking information of passport application package? All I got is receipt for $35 acceptance fees. Now I am freaking out that I should have expediated my application with extra bucks to get the tracking information for my passport package. USPS already lost my I751 Greencard last month and I hope that they wont messed it up with my passport application and original NC.

I don't think USPS shares the tracking number - they send a bunch of passport applications together - I went to the USPS office to check the delivery status after sending my application and they were able to look up the status of my package (mine took an unusually long time). If this is something you want to do to track your application.

So look like USPS does not provide tracking information for passport package? how long did it take for you to check the passport status after passport submission? My fear is Original NC since USPS have already lost my I751 greencard last month. What if God forbid my passport package get lost, who will pay for the Original NC replacement?

No, if you want to know whether your application arrives safely, you may go back to the USPS to ask, they should be able to let you know as in Bavi's reply above.

I submitted on Dec 28, and it appeared on US Department Site on Jan 4.
