   The reaction to Bezos' is a bit like Trump in these scenarios. He will be criticized no matter what he does or doesn't do just because he is who he is. I wonder how many of the complainers gave anything themselves. Until someone makes an actual donation, I don't think they have much ground to stand on.

  I'm not really sure what VV did or what people are saying. My online presence so far this week has been checking in on VJ a couple of times, and logging into outlook to delete some junk emails.

I am always cautious of believing completely when people get OTT incensed online. People can be one way on the internet and quite another IRL. 

 

I mean, I have read more than a few threads in the Effects of Major Changes forum where the USC wants to ship back their fiance/spouse for not being what they seemed like in a mostly online relationship.

This is much ado about nothing, just people kicking up enough dust for their cause trying to get attention through the media. He's got billions to throw away, so people are trying to direct that money somewhere.

 

Pressure from all sides trying to siphon some Bezo$ cash.

 

That being said, he does have a social obligation in Australia, given the massive companies he owns that do business there, to give back, treat people with dignity, show compassion, etc. Kinda hard to sell products/services and ship Amazon packages to burned down homes. If he's going to be cheap, given the massive size of this disaster, might as well have given nothing. It's all about perception, and public perceptions aren't necessarily logical, but unfortunately excessively meaningful. And in business, and brand marketing, people know all too well, the difficulty in business of changing people's perceptions once they have them.

Negative (assuming by NC you mean North Carolina?), I have a Reddit account and I think I was in some NFL streams sub and The_Donald, but I have like 3 posts over several years and rarely visit that site.. it's annoying to navigate.

We got a 200 Christmas bonus. I thanked the owner personally and the GM. Yes it wasnt much, but I am old school.  Anytime someone gives you anything they didn't have to. Be grateful.

Ok, I am just curious.... I was wondering because there was a Leftie on one of the NC subreddits that I was arguing with the username spookyturtle. There is a well known NC state senator that posts updates to all of the NC subreddits and occasionally responds to people that ask generic BS questions. But if you ask him a specific question about topic or issue he won't respond to you at all such as campaign finance reform. So I called him out yesterday about 3 different NC subs and apparently some Lefties don't like that I am questioning a Democrat.

Yep.. The main ones are North Carolina, Charlotte, Raleigh, and the Triangle subs. Now due to demographics the Raleigh and the Triangle subs are full of Lefties that will downvote you into oblivion for a couple comments that they don't like. I lost over a 150 reputation points yesterday because I said a couple things that are factually accurate but they just don't want to hear. 

If you want good NC BBQ then check out Lexington BBQ. NC is home of the pork bbq which is primarily based off of the pork shoulder and nothing else.
