Ahhh and I am so afraid to do the process without an attorney, I just love my fiancee to much.

What will the attorney do to get your fiancee here?  It's your story, it's her medical and interview.   All they do is fill forms with your information and separate you from your money.

Visit the Philippines regional forum,  many who are more familiar with the and can help you navigate the Manila consulate much more easily than any attorney can

YMMV

They keep getting annoyed at me because they say, "We have a half century worth of experience." I guess asking questions insults their intelligence. I am in fear of asking them questions in fear that they will drop me as a client and bill me. As they have told me that.

If they are saying they’ll drop you as a client and bill you, I’d be dropping them as a lawyer and completing the k1 process myself, it’s really not that difficult and unless you have an extremely complicated case there’s truely no need for a lawyer at all.

How rude of them to have forgotten they they are working for you and not the reverse

Their process has been to send me questionnaire with 20-40 questions and then they transcribe this information to a form. Generally it takes them anywhere from 3-4 weeks to submit anything because they are only available Tuesday and Thursday.  Every form I have received from them has massive errors and corrections that need to take place. An RFE response took them almost 2 months to complete and even their response required corrections that took me 4-6 hours to review and complete.

Oh exactly! It's so crazy, they see me as this impatient rude American for having the audacity to ask them very polite questions about the process.

Sounds like its time to complain to the bar.  I'd have walked a long time ago.

Drop them, finish the process yourself.. how they going to bill you and get the so called outstanding anyways? They do nothing without having been paid upfront so you’re likely in front already...

theres a world of knowledge here to help you with what forms and next step.. save yourself the time and money...

What kind of an RFE takes two months to complete and 6 hours to review?  My whole petition was prepared in less than an hour

Exactly! Shouldnt have taken more than a week and a half. What is worse is I told them we needed to submit certain documents before we file and they said, nah just don't worry about it. They will tell us if they need it. That decision cost me 750.00 and cost us 2 months delay. Ahhhh

I agree. I had to call them almost every week and ask them the status. It was so annoying. Now we have this process and I am worried they will sit on stuff again with no urgency. Since our approval they have done nothing proactive to prepare us for the documents we need. Ahhhhh

Ok to wrap up this post. I think the final conclusion is that the attorney is correct. We just have to wait for them to forward our information to Manila. I was looking at the steps for immigrant visas and is why I got confused. Thanks everyone for your help.

Often attorneys are wrong.  That's the truth plain and simple.  Just look at the recent episode of 90 Day Fiance when Angela's attorney said that a K-1 denial in Nigeria could be appealed and that 60% of appeals are successful.  That's so wrong, just one example of attorneys that don't know the US immigration process very well.  The attorney that Michael saw in Nigeria knew what she was talking about.  Good luck!

I was thinking the same exact thing about Angela.

That is really the problem with attorneys, you still have to do all the work.  If you are worried about the services they are performing, it is time to drop them.  They may have years of experience, but as others have said, they really have no skin in the game with respect to you and your fiancé except for the money you already paid them.  If they are threatening you about leaving, the local bar in your area should be notified.
