I-134 Joint Sponsor?

So, I make enough money for the I-134 ($32k/year), but my tax history/working history is short for the past 3 years. In 2017 I did a brief summer internship, and in 2016 and 2018 I did not work at all. I was in college during this time. I graduated college and began working full time a few months into 2019. My interview will be coming up soon and I doubt I i will get my 2019 tax returns by then.

I feel like this would not look great and could result in a denial. So my question is, would it be best for me to have my dad as a joint sponsor? Am I even allowed to have a joint sponsor if I meet the minimum?

Also, how is the form filled out with a joint sponsor? Would my dad and I both fill out an I-134?

This form has been causing me a lot of stress and I haven't been able to find any answers specific to my situation.

Yes...as a minimum  is only a minimum for consideration. The public charge decision is based upon a totality of the circumstances.

If your solo I-134 is sufficient, then no reason to provide anything from somebody else and complicate matters (less documentation needed = less opportunity for something missing). Only you know your circumstances well enough to determine if your income and circumstances are sufficient for you to live on together. The CO makes the final call, but you generally can know beforehand if it makes sense or not.

That said...no harm in bringing an I-134 packet from a co sponsor to the interview. It's not a binding document anyway (the I-864 later is).

Thank you for the response! I think I will have a packet from a co sponsor just to be on the safe side.
