Inland Border Control Texas to California on greencard

Hi just a quick question,

 

I have my conditional greencard, valid until 2021, I will be moving back to California very soon, where we will make the drive from Austin, Texas to Los Angeles. I know there are inland CBP points, on the map I saw one in El Paso and Las Cruces that we will probably run into. Is a greencard all they will ask to see? Will I be pulled over, fingerprinted, etc or is it just a quick check for those who have experienced this?

 

just looking for experiences.

Green card was all that was required when we were stopped at a checkpoint near San Antonio

I don't have a green card yet, but when we went through el paso (i was visiting on the vwp) they just asked for my passport for a quick check, so in your case it would be the green card
