Hello everyone,

i'm an US citizen (petitioner) and my husband is Canadian (beneficiary). I'm currently living in US and my husband is in Canada.

What do we fill in for Q 61 and 62 in Part 4 of the form?

If we're supposed to fill in Q.62, do we put the US embassy or US consulate in the city that my husband lives in?

I've read a few posts that said the only Consulate actually process immigration paperwork is in Montreal. Therefore, would it be better to put Montreal in Q62? Can any fellow Canadians confirm this?

Thank you!

You can put in any consulate in any city or even the embassy in Ottawa,  regardless of what you put,  it will go to Montreal as that is the only place that has an immigrant Visa unit

You are doing consular processing, not adjustment of status, so Q62 regarding embassy/consulate is the only one you need to fill out of the two. Yes Montreal is the only US consulate in Canada that does US immigrant visas so it will go to Montreal

Would it save some time just put Montreal even though my husband lives in the Westcoast. Would the processing time reduces since they don't have to send the documents to consulate in the Westcoast then it sends to Montreal?

Or I should just put the city that my husband lives in to avoid any complication?

He will apply for the visa in Montreal.  There is nothing you can do to save time.  He will travel to Montreal for the medical and interview.  No other options.

That is the proper answer.  Several, including me already told you this.  No matter what you put there, the case will go to Montreal for interview, sometime in 2021 hopefully.
