You can ring your GP and ask for this.

Thank you!

So we asked the GP and they stated that we can access it on the web portal or get it printed from them which will cost some money and take up to 5 business days. We tried on the portal but not sure which option or how it should look like. Has anyone been able to access theirs online? If not, does 5 business days seem reasonable?

In my case (GP at Hand) I just rang them and they mailed it to me for free; it took a few days. The logistics depend on your GP practice how they choose to manage this.

In my case it shows my name and address, a header with potential allergies & current medication, and then a summary of the last 3 GP visits.

It's a 2 page document.

I think those are the main things they're looking for. If you find that online through the portal, then that should be good.

Hi all,

We recently got our interview date and were trying to call for a medical exam, but they are asking for a "GP Patient Care Summary". Do you guys know the best way to obtain this? Is this just a copy of the vaccinations (which in this case we do have)? Thank you

Under GDPR, doctors can't charge patients for requesting their own medical information anymore. In other words you can request all/any of your medical records for free. They can only charge you if you want a private medical report, but in this case and for all of us going through these medicals, a "patient summary" is all that's needed and it's only couple of pages long. It shows a list of your medical problems, allergies, repeat medication, vaccinations and last few consultations.

I would request it again from your GP and explain what's required in case they've misinterpreted what you're requesting, unless the information you can print from your online record covers all this. For my doctors, my online record doesn't show me anything but medication and vaccinations, so wouldn't be enough.

* I work in a GP surgery so come across this often
