Filing N-400 requirements

My spouse is a US citizen by naturalization. My spouse has misplaced is Naturalization Certificate. Spouse still has their valid US passport. Is the passport alone sufficient for applying for Citizenship through marriage? Or will we have to File for replacement of Naturalization Certificate first then apply once replacement has been received?

If he has a US passport and was given a Naturalization Certificate,  he does not have to apply to be a citizen.  he is one

 

he should, however,  pay to get it replaced

I should have put in that  I'm a greencard holder for 3 years applying for Citizenship by marriage. But my spouse is missing the Naturalization Certificate '

 

That's what my original question of if the passport is enough to apply for Citizenship through marriage is based off of.

If you are applying for your own naturalization, your spouse’s US passport should be sufficient proving their citizenship.  I assume that is what your spouse used for your GC application.

Yes it was through Naturalization certificate & Passport I applied for GC.

Your spouse's US passport will suffice.....just ensure spouse doesn't lose that too
